Ishizaka Yōjirō
Ishizaka Yōjirō ( Japanese 石 坂 洋 次郎 , * July 25, 1900 in Hirosaki ; † October 7, 1986 ) was a Japanese writer.
Ishizaka attended middle school in his hometown and studied from 1920 at Keiō University . After graduating, he taught at the Women's High School in Yokote, and from 1929 at the high school. His first two novels were published in serial in the magazine Mita bungaku . The second, Wakai Hito , was awarded the Mita Prize for novels in 1936 and adapted for film and acting in 1937.
From 1939 Ishizaka lived in Tokyo. After the war his novel Aoi Sanmyaku was published , which became the symbol of a new Japan for the post-war generation. Many of his works formed the basis for cinema and television films and were edited for the theater. In 1966 he was awarded the Kikuchi Kan Prize .
