Yūsuke Segawa ( Japanese 瀬 川 祐 輔 , Segawa Yūsuke ; born February 7, 1994 in Tokyo , Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Yūsuke Segawa learned to play football in the youth team of Tokyo Yukigaya FC , the school teams of Nihon University Second Jr. High School and Nihon University Second High School, and in the university team of Meiji University . He signed his first professional contract with Thespakusatsu Gunma in 2016 . The club from Kusatsu , a small town in Gunma Prefecture , played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . For the club he completed 42 second division games and scored 13 goals. After a year he moved to the first division club Ōmiya Ardija . For the club from Saitama he played 16 times in the first division, the J1 League . At the end of the season, the club had to relegate to the second division. Yūsuke Segawa left the club after relegation and joined the first division club Kashiwa Reysol from Kashiwa in 2018 . With Kashiwa, too, he had to make his way to the second division at the end of the season. In 2019 he became J2 champion with Kashiwa and rose straight back to the top division.
