Yaşar Alpaslan (born March 23, 1914 in Istanbul , † 1995 ibid) was a Turkish football player . Due to his many years of work for Fenerbahçe Istanbul , club and fan pages refer to him as one of the most important personalities in the club's history.

Career

society

The beginnings of Alpaslan's career are almost undocumented. As the first occupied station, he began to play for Fenerbahçe Istanbul from 1932 . He came in this season on December 23, 1932 in the game of İstanbul Ligi (German Istanbul League ) against arch rivals Beşiktaş Istanbul for the first time in a competitive game for his club. Since there was no national professional league in Turkey at that time, regional leagues existed instead in metropolitan areas such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir , of which İstanbul Ligi (also called İstanbul Futbol Ligi) was considered the most prestigious. In the further course of the season Alpaslan came to ten more league appearances, which he had completed a total of eleven of twelve possible league games. With his team he won the Istanbul championship in his first season.

Subsequently, Alpaslan was an integral part of the team until the end of the 1930s. After he and his team won the Istanbul championship in the 1932/33 season, he was also part of the Fenerbahçe team that won three consecutive Istanbul championships in the 1934/35 , 1935/36 and 1936/37 seasons . Fenerbahçe drew level with arch-rivals Galatasaray, who became the first club to reach three consecutive championships. He was also part of the Fenerbahçe team that emerged victorious in the 1936/37 season from Milli Küme , a type of championship tournament in which the teams from the three cities of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir participated.

After these successful three seasons, Niyazi stayed two more seasons with Fenerbahçe, but could not win another title with his team in these seasons. Following this 1938/39 season, he ended his career at the age of 31.

National team

Alpaslan began his national team career in 1936 with a commitment for the Turkish national team in a friendly against the Yugoslav national team . By August 1936 he completed another international match.

Alpaslan also took part with the Turkish selection in the 1936 Summer Olympics.
