The Millî Küme ( German National League or National Class ), also called Millî Küme Şampiyonası , was the top division and first national league championship in Turkish football from 1937 to 1950 inclusive . It was carried out by the Turkish Football Association . The top ranked teams from the three strongest regional leagues took part in the league: Istanbul , Ankara and İzmir . The league was renamed twice, once in Maarif Mükâfâtı and later in Millî Eğitim Kupası . The record champions of this competition are Fenerbahçe Istanbul with six championships.
