With his long-term striker partners Görkey and Bilgiç, he formed one of the most successful strikes in Beşiktaş and in all of Turkish football .

The supporters of Beşiktaş 'and his teammates called him Baba Hakkı (dt: father Hakkı ) during player times because of his paternal but also very authoritarian nature . In the 1960s he was elected three times as the club president of Beşiktaş and remained in this office for a total of six years with interruptions. He was a player, coach and president at Beşiktaş. society

Yeten's family moved to Istanbul when he was one year old and settled in the Beşiktaş district. His father Mahmut Nedim Bey, a major in the Ottoman Army , took part in World War I and died in the Battle of Gallipoli in 1914 . This event led to the boy Hakkı later embarking on a military career. At the appropriate age, he attended the "Halicioglu Askeri Lisesi" military academy and began playing football in Muradiye, a district of Beşiktaş. He played during his military training for the military football team of the districts of Maltepe , Halıcıoğlu and Kuleli. However, he began his official club career in 1926 at the newly founded sports club Karagümrük GK .

During this time at Karagümrük, Yeten Şeref Bey , the founder of the football department of the Beşiktaş Istanbul sports club , noticed and was brought into the Beşiktaş 'team in 1931. From the 1931/32 season he then played for Beşiktaş. He came in this season in the game of İstanbul Ligi (dt. Istanbul League ) on November 27, 1931 against Anadolu SK to use, made his professional debut and scored two goals in this encounter. At that time there was no national professional league in Turkey, instead there were regional leagues in metropolitan areas such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir , of which İstanbul Ligi (also called İstanbul Futbol Ligi) was considered the most famous. In the further course of the season he played all four other league games, scored six goals and, as a youngster, became the club's most successful goalscorer. From then on he played as an undisputed regular player until 1947 and formed his strike partners Şeref Görkey and Eşref Bilgiç one of the most successful strikes in Turkish football.

After he had remained without a title for three seasons with his club, he was able to win the Istanbul championship with her in the 1933/34 season . Yeten contributed ten goals to this success and was by far the most successful goalscorer of his team. Despite this first title, Yeten and his team did not win the title for the next four seasons. It was not until the 1938/39 season that he and his team won the championship of the Istanbul Football League. In the following four years, Yeten and his team managed to defend their title in the Istanbul championship four times. This made him a member of the team that broke several league records. In addition, the Milli Küme was won in the 1940/41 season , a kind of championship in which the teams from the three cities of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir participated. Yeten was one of the most important performers in all these seasons and was almost always the most successful goalscorer of his team. In the 1944/45 season he was able to win the Istanbul championship again with his club and defend it in the following season. While his two long-term strike partners Görkey and Bilgiç gradually lost their regular seats due to their age in the 1946/47 season, Yeten played as a regular player until the summer of 1947. His club went empty-handed in the 1946/47 season in the Istanbul championship and was able to win the Ministry of Education Cup.

For the 1947/48 season, Yeten also lost his regular place and had to give way to younger players such as Şükrü Gülesin , Süleyman Seba , Hikmet Alpaslan , Şevket Yorulmaz . After his club had remained untitled this season, he ended his career at the end of the season.

National team

Yeten began his national team career in 1931 with a use for the Turkish national team in the game against the Bulgarian national team . With this encounter he completed his first international match. By 1936 he completed two more international matches and scored one goal.

Yeten took part in the 1936 Summer Olympics with the Turkish selection . He also took part with the national team in the Balkan Cup in 1931 and became a silver medalist with this.

Trainer and functionary career

For the 1950/51 season , Yeten was introduced as the new head coach of Beşiktaş Istanbul . During this season he led his team to the Istanbul championship and became one of the few people who could win this title both as a player and as a coach.

In 1951 he started to train Vefa Istanbul .

Yeten was elected club president of Beşiktaş three times in the 1960s and remained in this position for a total of six years with interruptions. In addition, he was a club official for the club for several years.
