Federico Bonazzoli (born May 21, 1997 in Manerbio ) is an Italian football player . The striker is currently under contract with Sampdoria Genoa .

Style of play

Bonazzoli is left-footed and is used in the center of the attack due to his header and final strength . At 192 centimeters, Bonazzoli is sturdily built, but is still quite fast, so that he can also use the wings or act as a hanging tip .

Career

In the club

Bonazzoli was born in Manerbio in the province of Brescia in 1997 . At the age of four he started playing football in the neighboring community of Ghedi. After two years in Ghedi, he was accepted into the renowned youth academy of Atalanta Bergamo , which he left in 2004 - after only one year - and moved to the youth department of Inter Milan . In this he went through all junior teams until 2014.

Bonazzoli made his first experience in the professional squad of the Nerazzurri at the age of 16 when he came on for Ishak Belfodil in the 3-2 victory over Trapani Calcio in the 4th round of the Coppa Italia 2013/14 on December 4, 2013 . His next appearance in the professional team took until May 18, 2014: In the 1: 2 defeat against AC Chievo Verona , he came on again and made his Serie A debut, with which he became the second youngest league player in Inter Milan . In the summer Bonazzoli then signed his first professional contract for Inter, which runs until June 30, 2017, and was thus included in the professional squad.

On February 2, 2015, Bonazzoli was signed by Sampdoria Genoa . He plays the 2014/15 season but on loan at Inter ended. In 2015 he returned to Sampdoria, but only made four short appearances in the first half of the 2015/16 season , which is why he was awarded to Virtus Lanciano in the second half . In 2016/17 he was awarded again to Serie B , this time to Brescia Calcio . After returning to Sampdoria in summer 2017, he played a game in Serie A, but was loaned out to league rivals SPAL Ferrara .

In the national team

Bonazzoli was first used on February 21, 2012 for the U-15 youth national team of Italy and came within a year on five hits in nine missions. In 2012 he was also used once in a game of the U-16 team , in which he scored straight away. In October 2012 he even made it to the U-17 national team , for which he was permanently active from that point on. In 2013 he was used in addition to the U-17 selection in two games of the U-18 national team , in which he was able to score a goal. By 2014 Bonazzoli played a total of 22 games for the U-17s, in which he scored nine goals. He made his debut for the U-19 national team on August 13, 2014 in the 2-1 defeat by Croatia , in which he scored a goal after being substituted on. Since then, Bonazzoli has been a regular for the U-19 selection.

At the age of only 17, he was nominated by coach Luigi Di Biagio for the U-21 national team's friendly against Denmark on November 17, 2014 . In this he was even used for the Azzurrini , so that he became the youngest player ever used in the U-21 team.
