Emil Audero Mulyadi (born January 18, 1997 in Mataram , Indonesia ) is an Italian football player . The goalkeeper currently plays for Sampdoria Genoa .
Career
In the club
Audero, the son of an Indonesian and an Italian, was born in Mataram , Indonesia . The family moved to Italy near Turin at the age of one . Audero was accepted into the Juventus Turin Football School in 2008 and went through all age groups by 2015.
In the 2014/15 season , Audero was sporadically in the Juventus matchday squad, for the first time in November 2014. For the 2015/16 season he became an integral part of the team and third goalkeeper behind Gianluigi Buffon and Neto . He celebrated winning the Serie A , the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa , but remained without a stake. In the 2016/17 season , the team again won the championship and the cup, but lost to AC Milan in the Supercoppa . Audero also extended his contract in February 2017 until 2021. On May 27, 2017, the final matchday of the championship, Audero made his debut for Juventus in a 2-1 win over Bologna FC .
For the 2017/18 season , Audero moved to second division FC Venice for a year on loan . There he was used as a regular goalkeeper in 35 of 42 league games and in three games in the promotion round.
For the 2018/19 season, Audero switched to the first division club Sampdoria Genua for a year on loan , who initially had a purchase option. After establishing himself as a regular goalkeeper, the purchase option was converted into a purchase obligation of 20 million euros at the end of January 2019, which took effect a month later.
