Nicola Murru (born December 16, 1994 in Cagliari , Italy ) is an Italian football player . He plays in defense and is currently under contract with Sampdoria Genoa .

Career

Murru joined the youth of Cagliari Calcio in 2001 and went through them until he was 18 years old. In the 2011/12 season he was nominated for a few games and played two appearances, his first Serie A game he played on December 17, 2011 against AC Chievo Verona . In the following season he was often used and came to 13 missions. Murru has been an integral part of the team since the 2013/14 season . By 2017 Murru had made 98 league games for Cagliari.

In summer 2017 Murru moved to Sampdoria Genoa .

Murru has been a junior national player since 2011 and played for the U-17 and U-18 of Italy . He is currently a member of the U-19 team .
