Yacine Mikhail Chalel (born November 17, 1995 in Paris ) is a French - Algerian cyclist.

Athletic career

Yacine Chalel is of Algerian descent and was born in Paris; he has both nationalities. He has been a racing cyclist for the Algerian Cycling Federation since 2015. He trains at the Vélodrome National near Paris.

In 2016 Chalel won the silver medal in the Keirin and in the points race at the African Championships . In 2018 he became African champion in scratch and thus qualified for the rail world championships in Apeldoorn . There he started in the scratch, but could not finish the race. At the 2019 African Track Championships , he won bronze in scratch, points race and omnium . At the 2020 African Championships he won three medals: silver in the points race and bronze in both scratch and omnium.

The goal of Chalel is for the Omnium at the Olympic Games in Tokyo to qualify.
