The Yak Attack is a multi-day stage race for mountain bikers in the Nepalese Himalayas . In the course of the race the 5416  m high Thorong-La-Pass is crossed. This makes it the highest mountain bike race in the world.

The event was launched in 2007 and has taken place annually since then. The number of participants is strictly limited.

The route starts in Besisahar in the Annapurna massif to Tatopani . Yak Attack, together with the YakRu , Pokhara IV , Grand Himalayan Enduro and KaliX Mountain Biking Festival events , is part of the effort to make Nepal interesting for mountain bike sports and tourism.
