Yamato-gun (Fukuoka)

Yamato ( Japanese 山門 郡 , -gun ) was a district in Fukuoka Prefecture in Japan .

In 2003 it had an area of ​​103.78 km², a population density of 625.49 people per km² and a total of about 64,913 inhabitants.

With the Association of Municipalities Setaka and Yamakawa and the community Takata of the county Miike on 29. January 2007 the city Miyama , the district was dissolved.
