The BKK FTE was a company health insurance fund . As a health insurance company, it was open to everyone throughout Germany. In mid-2008 it broke away from what was then the German company health insurance fund and merged with Audi BKK on April 1, 2010 .

history

The BKK FTE emerged from the union of the company health insurance fund of the automotive supplier FTE automotive GmbH in Ebern (established January 1, 2004) and the BKK Riedel-de Haën (established October 25, 1884). It was aimed primarily at all active and former employees of Volkswagen AG . The main target groups were Volkswagen employees, their family members and former employees. Since the unbundling, it had adjusted to the needs of Volkswagen employees. The BKK FTE already had 50,000 members at the beginning of its cooperation with Volkswagen.

On June 1, 2003, the former BKK Bombardier (division: railway wagon construction, the former Waggon Union Siegen ) merged with BKK FTE, the name remained BKK FTE. The location was Netphen .

structure

The BKK FTE had a total of sixteen branches across Germany. In addition, the company health insurance fund was represented at all Volkswagen locations in Germany with its own branches and additional service offices in all plants. Further branches were available in Helmstedt and Gifhorn . In addition, there were the previous locations of BKK FTE in Neunkirchen, Ebern, Coburg and Netphen.

Board of Directors and Board of Directors

The health insurance company was most recently headed by Tomas Borm (board member). The last alternating chairmen of the board of directors were Jürgen Hennemann (employee representative) and Herbert Scharf (employer representative).

Members

The BKK FTE had more than 90,000 insured persons, including around 63,000 paying members (as of April 15, 2009).
