The FTE automotive group is a global automotive supplier in the field of "development and production of applications in the drive train and braking system" for the automotive industry . The company, which works for all well-known automobile manufacturers, employs around 3800 people worldwide and has 11 production facilities.

The company is based in Ebern in eastern Lower Franconia . Owner of the company was the Boston-based private equity company Bain Capital . On June 2, 2016, Bain Capital sold FTE Automotive to the French automotive supplier Valeo for EUR 819.3 million.
