Yang Jinghui ( Chinese 楊景輝 , Pinyin Yáng Jǐnghuī ; born May 15, 1983 in Guangzhou ) is a former Chinese water diver . He started in the 10 m tower and synchronized jumping. Yang Jinghui became an Olympic champion in 2004. He was trained by Zhong Shaozhen.
In 2004, Yang Jinghui made his breakthrough to the top of the world. He and Tian Liang won the 10-meter synchronized jumping at the 2004 World Cup. The duo took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and won the gold medal in the 10 m synchronized jumping. A year later, Yang Jinghui also won silver at the World Championships in Montreal in the same competition with Hu Jia .
Yang Jinghui was forced to retire at the age of 22 due to injury. He then began studying business administration at Sun Yat-sen University .
