Hu Jia ( Chinese  胡佳 , Pinyin Hú Jia ; born January 10, 1983 in Wuhan ) is a former Chinese water diver . He started in the 10 m tower and synchronized jumping. Hu Jia won two world titles and was Olympic champion in 2004.

He took part in the Olympic Games for the first time in Sydney in 2000 and won the silver medal in the 10-m synchronized diving with Tian Liang and in the 10-m high diving. In 2004 in Athens he achieved his greatest success. In diving he won gold in front of Mathew Helm and Tian Liang. He was also able to win four medals at swimming world championships. In 2001 in Fukuoka he won gold with Tian Liang in the 10m synchronized jumping , in 2003 in Barcelona the duo won bronze in the same competition. In 2005 in Montreal , Hu Jia became world champion in high diving and, this time with Yang Jinghui , also won silver in synchronized diving. Hu Jia was also successful at the Asian Games. In 2002 in Busan , he won gold in the 10 m synchronized jumping.

Hu Jia ended his active career after the 2005 World Cup.
