Yanin Vismitananda

Yanin "Jeeja" Vismitananda ( Thai : ญา ณิ น "จี จ้า" วิ ส มิ ตะ นันทน์ ; born March 31, 1984 in Bangkok , Thailand ) is a Thai actress who, through the martial arts film Chocolate ... sweet and deadly! gained international fame.

Career

Born in Bangkok , Yanin went to ballet as a child and practiced Taekwondo , in which she holds the 3rd Dan. Later she also taught this martial art.

During the casting for the film Born to Fight , she was discovered in 2003 by director Prachya Pinkaew . She was not involved in this project, but Pinkaew, enthusiastic about her talent, later sent her to training with the stunt troupe around Phanna Rithikrai , who directed the film and was also responsible for the choreography . She broke off her studies and from then on devoted herself to the production of the film that catapulted her into an international action star, and critics dubbed her as the new superstar of Thailand.
