Yasmine Hammamet
Yasmine Hammamet is a tourist center near the Tunisian city of Hammamet . The development project was initiated in 1990. Yasmine Hammamet now covers an area of around 277 hectares , on which there are 44 hotels with a capacity of 19,000 beds. 80% of the hotels are in the 4-star category or higher. There are more beds in private accommodation and holiday apartments. In addition to the 4 km long sandy beach, a marina with 740 berths, a convention center, a casino , an artificial ice rink , the Carthageland amusement park and two golf courses are all tourist attractions. In 2003, with the Medina Mediterranea, an attempt was made to give the retort settlement a marketplace in the style of an old Arab city center . The Société d'Etudes et de Développement HAMMAMET SUD is primarily responsible for Yasmine Hammamet's project development.
Location and transport links
Yasmine Hammamet is located on the Gulf of Hammamet , in the south of the city of the same name in the southeast of the Cap Bon peninsula . It is on the motorway from Tunis to Sfax . The closest airport is Enfidha-Hammamet Airport .
