Yasuhiro Yoshigaki
Yasuhiro Yoshigaki ( Japanese. 芳 垣 安 洋 , Yoshigaki Yasuhiro ; born February 21, 1959 in Hyōgo Prefecture ) is a Japanese jazz musician (drums, percussion).
Yasuhiro Yoshigaki worked in the jazz scene of the Kansai region while he was still a university student ; The first jazz recordings were made in 1992 with the Altered States trio (with guitarist Kazuhisa Uchihashi and bassist Mitsuru Nasuno ). He toured with the trio and Otomo Yoshihide in 1993 in the Baltic States ( Lituania And Estonia Live ). He also played in various bands such as Date Course Pentagon Royal Garden, Emergency! and Ground Zero , also in the big band projects Shibusashirazu ( Something Different , 1994), in the Satoko Fujii Orchestra East ( Double Take , 1999) and with Betsuni Nanimo Cletzmer ( Ahiru and Warutzu , 1996) and with Eiichi Hayachi in the formation CO2 .
In the 2000s, Yoshigaki et al. a. with Otomo Yoshihide and Bill Laswell ; he also recorded several albums under the name Soup . In later years he played with the post-rock band Rovo .
