Ye (city)

Ye ( Chinese    /  , Pinyin ) or Yecheng ( Chinese  鄴城  /  邺城 , Pinyin Yecheng ) was a city of ancient China , which in today's Circle Linzhang the prefecture-level city of Handan in the province of Hebei , near the border with Anyang ( Province Henan ) was. The strategically important city was the capital of the Eastern Wei Dynasty and the Northern Qi Dynasty as well as numerous warlords towards the end of the Han Dynasty , including Yuan Shao and Cao Cao .

Excavations in recent years have confirmed the information given by Chinese historians about the city's layout.

The site has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3–213) since 1988 .
