Yeom Ki-hun ( kor. 염기훈 ; born March 30, 1983 in Haenam , Jeollanam-do ) is a South Korean football player .

Career

Yeom began his professional career at Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in 2006 , where he made a significant contribution to winning the AFC Champions League . In October of the same year, he played in a friendly against Ghana for the first time for an international match for South Korea. After he finished third with the national team at the 2007 Asian Cup, he was given to Ulsan Hyundai Horangi , where he could not conquer a regular place due to several minor injuries.

In qualifying for the 2010 World Cup , Yeom was used in a total of four games in the third and fourth round of the qualifying tournament. In the run-up to the 2010 East Asian Championship in Japan, he suffered an injury to his metatarsus, but was able to play again for his new club Suwon Bluewings a short time later .

In summer 2010 he took part in the World Cup in South Africa.
