Yishai Sarid (* 1965 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa , Israel ) is an Israeli lawyer and writer.

Life

Sarid is the son of Israeli news anchor and politician Jossi Sarid . He first worked as an intelligence officer in the Israeli army before studying law in Jerusalem and graduating from Harvard with a degree in public administration. He later worked as a prosecutor in criminal cases before setting up as a lawyer. His first novel was published in 2000. In 2009 he published the political thriller Limassol, which was implemented as a radio play on WDR in 2011 . His novel Monster (2017) deals with the way the Holocaust is dealt with today in Israel in the person of a "tour guide" who leads Israeli school classes and groups of soldiers through concentration camps and is subject to ever increasing irritation .

Sarid lives and works in Tel Aviv.
