Yordanov Island ( English ; Bulgarian Йорданов остров Jordanow ostrow ) is an east-west orientation 600 m long, 300 m wide and rocky island in the archipelago of the Southern Orkney Islands . Off the north coast of Coronation Island , it is 3.95 km east-northeast of Prong Point , 0.8 km east of Islote Brusa and 7.7 km northwest of Findlay Point at the northeast end of Ommanney Bay . The foul point forms its eastern end.

British scientists mapped it in 1963. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2019 after Captain Jordan Jordanow, skipper of the Sagita trawler , which operated in the waters around South Georgia between December 1979 and June 1980 .
