York Township is located in the extreme southeast of Belmont County in east Ohio, borders the Ohio River to the east , which separates Ohio from West Virginia and borders clockwise on the townships: Mead Township , Switzerland Township in Monroe County and Washington Township .
administration
The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two people are elected in the year after the presidential election and one in the year before. The term of office usually lasts four years and begins on January 1st. There is also a township clerk (secretary), who is also elected for a four-year term in the year before the presidential election. His term of office begins on April 1st.
