Yoshiko Yoshiizumi ( Japanese 吉 泉 賀子 , Yoshiizumi Yoshiko , born Kasai , born November 4, 1980 in Otaru ) is a former Japanese ski jumper .

Career

Yoshiizumi made her international debut at the 1999 FIS Ladies Grand Prix . After five placements among the top ten, she ended up in 7th place in the overall ranking. On February 8, 2005, she made her debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . Since she jumped into the points in all of the jumping competitions, she finished 24th in the overall Continental Cup ranking at the end of the 2004/05 season . In the 2005/06 season she was able to improve her performance and at the end of the season she finished 12th in the overall ranking. It is her best overall ranking so far. In the 2008/09 season she only jumped in jumping in Japan. Only at the end of the 2009/10 season did she jump again in Europe. She finished the season in 39th place in the overall Continental Cup ranking.

On February 4th, 2012 Yoshiizumi started jumping on the Aigner-Schanze in Hinzenbach for the first time in the Ski Jumping World Cup and finished in 16th place. In the remainder of the 2011/12 season , she jumped into the top 30 in all competitions, which resulted in 116 points overall. The following season brought her only one World Cup point, which she achieved with a 30th place in Zaō .

Since the 2013/14 season, she started under her surname, Yoshiizumi, by marriage.
