Young Machetes is the fifth studio album by the US post-hardcore band The Blood Brothers and the last before it broke up in 2007.

It was released in October 2006 and reached number 92 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States . The album was also released in a special edition on multi-colored vinyl .

While Johnny Whitney and Cody Votolato are now playing for Jaguar Love , the other three members continue as Past Lives .

review

The critics' judgment on the album was quite different. For example, while Laut.de rated the album with four out of five points and called it an “absolutely disproportionate masterpiece in terms of energy and artistry”, the English-language Rolling Stone only gave it two out of five points.

The songs Laser Life (2006) and Set Fire to the Face on Fire (2007) were released as a single, but did not reach any top positions in the single charts.
