Yuka Masaki

Yuka Masaki ( Japanese 真 崎 ゆ か , Masaki Yuka ; born March 4, 1986 in Saitama Prefecture , Japan ) is the stage name of a J-pop singer with R&B influences. Her real name is Yamazaki Yuka ( Japanese 山崎 友 加 ). She began her career in 2009 when she signed her first recording deal with the Universal Music Japan record company .

Life

Yuka Masaki played from middle school to high school as a handball player in a club. She was even selected for the Japanese Under-16s. After high school, she signed up for a music school in Tokyo , where she became enthusiastic about African American music .

After graduating from high school, she started a career as a singer and sang in small clubs, even in concert halls, in Tokyo. She gave an average of almost ten gigs a month, and gained the attention of Japanese and South Korean record companies through further auditions . This led to her eventually signing a recording deal with Universal Music Japan.

On February 16, 2011, together with the Japanese singer KG , she released her first single in CD format: Last Kiss feat. KG .
