Prince Yugala Dighambara , Prince of Lop Buri , (full title: Thai : สมเด็จ พระเจ้า บรม วงศ์ เธอ เจ้าฟ้า ยุคล ฑิ ฆั ม พร กรม หลวง ลพบุรี รา เม ศร , RTGS : Somdet Phrachao Borommawongthoe Chao Fa Yukhon Thikhamphon Kromma Luang Lop Buri Ramet ; * 17 March 1883 in Bangkok ; †  April 8, 1932 ) was a son of the Thai King Rama V (Chulalongkorn). He was Viceroy for Southern Thailand and Minister of the Interior of Siam .

Life

Prince Yugala studied at Cambridge University , where he also graduated, then returned to Bangkok and then served under his half-brother Vajiravudh (Rama VI) as Uparat ("viceroy") for the south of the country. King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) appointed him Mahatthai (Minister of the Interior) in 1926 .

Prince Yukhon was married to Princess Chaloemkhetra Mankala Banuband, daughter of Prince Banurangsi Sawangwongse. One of the grandchildren from this connection is the well-known Thai filmmaker Chatrichaloem Yukol .

Prince Yugala Dighambara died on April 8, 1932.
