Juri Lwowitsch Dokschizer , Russian Юрий Львович Докшицер , English transcription Yuri Dokshitzer , (* 1951 ) is a Russian theoretical physicist.

Dokschizer was at the Institute for Nuclear Physics (PNPI), part of the Kurchatov Institute , in Gatchina near Saint Petersburg . He conducts research for the CNRS at the Laboratoire de Physique Théorique et Hautes Energies (LPTHE) and the University of Paris VI in Paris (and was also at the University of Paris-South in Orsay ).

In the 1990s he was also at the section of the Italian nuclear research institute Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) at the University of Milan, but also at the PNPI.

Dokschizer deals with perturbative quantum chromodynamics (QCD). He is one of the authors of the DGLAP equations (with Wladimir Naumowitsch Gribow , Lew Nikolajewitsch Lipatow , Guido Altarelli , Giorgio Parisi ), with a contribution from 1977 in which he, as independently Altarelli and Parisi in France, used the equations for the then prevalent QCD refined. The DGLAP equations are fundamental evolution equations for the Parton structure functions of hadrons in QCD and play an important role in the calculation of high-energy scattering processes of hadrons such as deep inelastic scattering processes that are routinely carried out at the large accelerator facilities such as Hera (DESY), the LHC (CERN ) or the Tevatron (Fermilab) have been and are observed. At that time, Dokschizer was in Gribov's group at the PNPI in Leningrad, which Lipatow was also in.

Dokschizer edited a few volumes of lectures by Gribow, his teacher in St. Petersburg, in English translation at Cambridge University Press.

In 2015, Dokschizer received the High Energy and Particle Physics Prize .
