Yuri de Souza Fonseca (born August 8, 1982 in Maceió ) is a Brazilian soccer player who has been playing for the Spanish club SD Ponferradina since 2009 .
Career
The 1.86-meter-tall striker began his career in lower-class youth clubs in places like Gondim . From 1995 to 2000 he played in the youth of FC Maia , before he was active for five more years for its professionals (57 games / 26 goals). In January 2003 he moved to the Primeira Liga for Boavista Porto . He was loaned by two other clubs during his time in Porto, Gil Vicente FC (2004) and GD Estoril Praia (2004 to 2005). In the summer of 2005 he moved to Spain to FC Pontevedra , where he was under contract until 2009. In the 2007-08 season he was loaned to UD Las Palmas . Since 2009 he has been under contract for the SD Ponferradina association .
