Yūsuke Takahashi ( Japanese 高橋 悠 介 , Takahashi Yūsuke ; born October 17, 1997 in Yokohama , Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese tennis player .

Career

In the junior division, Yūsuke Takahashi achieved his best placement with a 32nd place in September 2015. He reached the quarter-finals in doubles at Wimbledon and at the Australian Open in 2015 . On the professional tour, Takahashi mainly plays on the Future and Challenger Tour. So far he has won five individual titles on the Future Tour.

In 2017 Takahashi made his debut on the ATP World Tour in Tokyo . In the qualification he was able to prevail against Adrián Menéndez and Vasek Pospisil and made the jump into the main field. There he met the American Ryan Harrison , to whom he had to admit defeat in three sets. His best place in singles was a 238th place, while in doubles he has not yet made it into the top 500 in the world rankings .
