Yves Ciampi (born February 9, 1921 in Paris ; born Yves Jean Marie Ciampi ; † November 7, 1982 ibid) was a French film director and screenwriter .

Live and act

Ciampi studied medicine and worked as a hospital doctor from 1941 to 1943. In 1946 he began directing documentaries and worked as an assistant director for feature films. With the much acclaimed melodrama chief physician Dr. He first drew attention to Delius in 1951. The successful doctor film The Doctor and the Girl with Dieter Borsche and Jean Marais was Ciampi's career highlight.

In 1955 his pacifist Die Helden sind müde with Curd Jürgens appeared , in 1961 his semi-documentary work Wer sind Sie, Dr. Worry? about Richard Sorge , a journalist and Soviet agent who was executed in Japan . Here and even more in his last major work, Heaven burns , which was awarded the Golden Star at the Moscow Film Festival in 1965 , Ciampi showed himself to be a supporter of the doctrine of peaceful coexistence who was friendly to the Soviet Union .
