Yves Lejarre
Yves Lejarre (born October 11, 1897 in Tours , † March 31, 1945 in Dachau concentration camp ) was a French railroad worker , resistance fighter against the Nazi regime , and prisoner in Dachau concentration camp.
Life
At the end of 1940 and beginning of 1941, under the leadership of the communist Albert Regal, he took part in anti-fascist actions as part of the Resistance in the Lozère department .
Honors
At the Reichsbahn Kulturhaus in Senftenberger Strasse der Jugend , GDR railway workers put a plaque in memory of their French colleagues and named this house after him. He is also immortalized on a memorial plaque in his hometown of Tours - together with other murdered resistance fighters.
