Yvonne Reungoat FMA (born January 14, 1945 in Plouénan in Brittany / France ) is a French nun and superior general of the Don Bosco sisters .

Life

After studying pedagogy with the subjects history and geography in Lyon, she taught at a vocational school for eleven years.

From 1983 to 1989 she headed the French province “Sacro Cuore”, then went to Africa, where in 1992 she became the first provincial superior of the province “Madre di Dio” based in the Ivory Coast. In setting up the newly founded plants in West Africa, she attached great importance to the training of the young African sisters, to the establishment of youth and school centers and to the promotion of women's projects.

Since 1996 she has been a member of the General Council, since 2002 as Vicar General . In this capacity she was responsible for the four international communities in Rome. Since the end of October 2008 she has been the tenth Superior General of the Don Bosco Sisters. She succeeds as the first non-Italian in the 136-year history of the Madre Antonia Colombo order .

On July 8, 2019, Pope Francis made her a member of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life for five years .
