The Zújar ( Spanish: Río Zújar ) is a left (southern) tributary of the Guadiana , which flows through the autonomous communities of Andalusia and Extremadura in Spain . It has a length of approximately 214 km and a catchment area of approximately 2,524 km².

Its source is near the village of Fuente Obejuna in the province of Córdoba (Andalusia). After a few kilometers in the province of Cordoba, it then forms the border between the provinces of Cordoba and Badajoz (Extremadura). After its confluence with the La Serena reservoir, it flows through the Badajoz province.

The Zújar flows into the Guadiana about three kilometers north of the town of Villanueva de la Serena .
