Zachary Scott "Zach" Railey (born May 9, 1984 in Saint Petersburg ) is a former American sailor .
successes
Zach Railey took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 and in London in 2012 in the Finn-Dinghy boat class . In 2008 he finished second behind Ben Ainslie, who dominated the regatta, and secured the silver medal with 45 points overall, ahead of Frenchman Guillaume Florent , who had 58 points. Four years later, Railey didn't get past twelfth place and thus missed the final medal race . In 2009 he was runner- up in the Finn dinghy in Vallensbæk .
His sister Paige Railey also took part in several Olympic regattas.
