Guillaume Florent (born October 13, 1973 in Dunkerque ) is a former French sailor .
successes
Guillaume Florent took part in the Olympic Games three times . In 1996 , when he made his Olympic debut in Atlanta , he did not get past 15th place in the laser boat class . At his second Olympic participation in Athens in 2004 , he finished the regatta in the boat class Finn-Dinghy in eighth place. At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 he finished third behind Ben Ainslie from Great Britain, who dominated the Finn dinghy regatta, and the American Zach Railey and secured the bronze medal with 58 points overall. Due to the better placement in the final medal race , he was classified ahead of Sweden's Daniel Birgmark , who had the same points .
