Zacharias Conrad von Uffenbach (politician)

Zacharias Conrad von Uffenbach (also Konrad ) (born February 1, 1639 in Frankfurt am Main ; † June 6, 1691 ibid) was a lawyer and younger mayor of the imperial city of Frankfurt.

Uffenbach was the son of the Frankfurt councilor Achilles von Uffenbach and his wife Anna Ottilia nee Weickhard. He was the uncle of the private scholar of the same name, Zacharias Konrad von Uffenbach . Uffenbach married Anna Catharina nee Schlingwolff. Their son Nikolaus von Uffenbach also became councilor and senator in Frankfurt.

Uffenbach studied law from October 3, 1656 at the University of Jena and from May 18, 1660 at the University of Giessen , and disputed in 1663 in Giessen. After graduation, he traveled to France. He was a lawyer in Frankfurt and Isenburg-Büdinger council. On the occasion of a special deputation in 1688/89 he represented Frankfurt at the Reich. From 1679 he was a senator in Frankfurt's council and in 1687 became the younger mayor. In 1691 he was promoted to aldermen.
