Zack and Quack (original title: Zack and Quack , alternatively also Zack & Quack ) is a British - Israeli animated cartoon series . The broadcast started in Great Britain and Ireland on February 7, 2014, on April 5, 2014 the first episode was broadcast in the USA, the German-language broadcast began on May 5, 2014 on Nickelodeon . The series is aimed at preschoolers .

The main characters in the series are the little boy Zack and his best friend, the duck Quack . You live in a large pop-up picture book , the "most exciting pop-up book in the world". Together with the neighbor girl Kira , the frog Herr von Quapp (in the original Belly Up ), the squirrels Skip and Hop and the hedgehog Puschel (in the original Fluffy ) they experience various adventures that they can reach by turning the pages of the book.

Zack and Quack was received positively by the critics. Common Sense Media, an American organization that evaluates television programs primarily on the basis of child-friendly and educational aspects, describes the series as an "imaginative preschool series" with a "unique animation style" and emphasizes the "positive examples of friendship and creative problem solving". The editorial team of kino.de praises the series for its “amazing stories” and the “sympathetic protagonists Zack and Quack”, who represent a “great role model” for viewers through “ingenuity and solidarity”.
Awards
At the 42nd Annie Awards , which were presented in California in January 2015, Zack and Quack received two nominations, one for the category "Best General Audience Animated TV / Broadcast Production For Preschool Children" and the second nomination for art director Erez Gavish in the category “Outstanding Achievement, Production Design in an Animated TV / Broadcast Production”.
Publications
The Edel Germany label has published several DVDs with various episodes of the series since 2014, and several radio play CDs have also been released.
