Zaferānieh
Zaferānieh ( Persian زعفرانیه) is a district in the north of Tehran .
It lies west of Tajrish Square and borders the Velenjak district . The Shahid Fallahi Sarlashkar Street , the main street of the district, is west of the valiasr street from. The name Zaferānieh can be traced back to the saffron traders who once lived in this area.
The Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Azad Islamic University of Tehran, which teaches English , German , French and Spanish , is also located in Zaferānieh. There is a cultural institute in the Sa'adabad Palace museum.
In Zaferānieh there is the residence of the Egyptian embassy and a synagogue .
