Zafos Xagoraris

Zafos Xagoraris (* 1963 in Athens ) is a Greek sound and installation artist .

life and work

Zafos Xagoraris studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts from 1983 to 1988 . A scholarship enabled him to do a Master of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The Ph.D. He graduated from the National Technical University of Athens . In 2000 he qualified as a professor in Philosophical Aesthetics . After teaching assignments and visiting professorships at various universities, Xagoraris followed a call to the Athens School of Fine Arts in 2005 .

Zafos Xagoraris works on a series of sound installations or actions in public space , drawings and participatory events, as well as disabilities of audio or other signals.
