Franz Johann Ferdinand von Landsberg zu Erwitte (born September 26, 1660 , † March 18, 1726 in Münster ) was canon in Trier, Münster and Osnabrück.

Life

Origin and family

Franz Johann Ferdinand von Landsberg grew up as the son of Daniel Dietrich von Landsberg zu Erwitte and his wife Jutta Antonette von und zu Leyen and Bongard (1633–1704) together with his brothers Franz Anton (1656–1727, Erbdroste), Franz Ferdinand (1657– 1726, canon in Münster), Franz Dietrich (1659–1727, canon and politician), Franz Ludolf (1668–1732, canon) in the Westphalian noble family von Landsberg . After the death of his first wife Anna Margarethe von Raitz zu Frentz , who died in childbed after the birth of the child Ferdinand Franz , Daniel Dietrich married Anna Katharina von Plettenberg on March 18, 1646, who died on April 11, 1646.

Act

Franz Johann initially received private lessons in Hildesheim and in the Meschede Abbey before attending the Jesuit high school in Mainz from 1670 to 1673. Between 1676 and 1678 he studied at the Philipps University of Marburg . With papal approval, he received a cathedral priest in Münster in 1682 after his brother Ferdinand Franz had renounced. On the same day the Pope gave him a commission for the cathedral prayer in Trier . The revolt to the families Landsberg, Leyen, Erwitte and Bongart fell on August 17, 1682. He was entrusted with the office of Drosten zu Balve in 1685. On May 7, 1691, he was given a trial in Osnabrück . His election to the cathedral bursar in Münster fell on July 26, 1694. In 1699 he came into the possession of the archdeaconate on the Drein and on February 12, 1701 he received the obedience of Schölving. Landsberg was a subdeacon .
