Franz Ludolf Jobst von Landsberg zu Erwitte (born September 1, 1668 , † January 24, 1732 in Münster ) was canon in Hildesheim and Münster.

Life

Origin and family

Franz Ludolf von Landsberg grew up as the son of Daniel Dietrich von Landsberg zu Erwitte and his wife Jutta Antonette von und zu Leyen and Bongard (1633–1704) together with his brothers Franz Anton (1656–1727, Erbdroste), Franz Dietrich (1659–1727) , Canon and politician), Franz Johann (1660–1726, canon), Franz Ferdinand (1657–1726, canon) and Franz Kaspar Ferdinand (1670–1748, squire) in the Westphalian noble family von Landsberg . After the death of his first wife Anna Margarethe von Raitz zu Frentz , who died in childbed after the birth of the child Ferdinand Franz , Daniel Dietrich married Anna Katharina von Plettenberg on March 18, 1646, who died on April 11, 1646.

On September 22nd, 1680 , Franz Ludolf enrolled at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and in 1682 received a Dompräbende in Hildesheim . After the resignation of his brother Franz Johann, he was given an exam in Münster in 1689 . His election as cathedral dean in Münster fell on April 20, 1701. He was archdeacon in Dülmen and Borsum and owned the Obedience Spiekerhof and the Oblegium Schmalamt. In the years 1706 and 1718/1719 Franz Ludolf ran unsuccessfully in the electoral prince-bishopric . In the election of the cathedral provost in Hildesheim in 1727, he was also unsuccessful. He was buried in Münster Cathedral.
