Franz Ferdinand Freiherr von Landsberg zu Erwitte (* 1657 ; † March 18, 1726 ) was canon in Münster and Osnabrück as well as Dombursar.

Life

Origin and family

Franz Ferdinand von Landsberg zu Wocklum and Erwitte was the son of Daniel Dietrich von Landsberg zu Wocklum and Erwitte and his wife Antonetta von der Leyen (1633-1704) of the Westphalian noble family von Landsberg . His brother Franz Anton (1656–1727) was Erbdroste, Franz Dietrich (1659–1727) canon and politician, Franz Johann (1660–1726) canon and Franz Ludolf (1668–1732). His half-brother Ferdinand Franz (1643–1682, canon in Münster, Hildesheim and Osnabrück) came from his father's first marriage to Margarethe Reichsfreiin Raitz von Frentz zu Frentz and Kendenich .

Act

On April 9, 1682, Franz Ferdinand received a Münster prebende by papal approval , which his half-brother Ferdinand Franz had renounced . On the same day he came into possession of the canonical in Trier . On August 17, 1682 the revolt to the families Landsberg, Leyen, Erwitte and Bongart took place and on May 7, 1691 he received a prebend in Osnabrück . The cathedral chapter in Münster unanimously elected him to the bursary on July 26, 1694. He was the last bursar to emerge from the circle of canons. Franz Ferdinand was a subdeacon and on February 25, 1699 opted for the archdeaconate on the Drein .
