Zagreb Pride 2007

The Zagreb Pride (or LGBT Pride or Christopher Street Day) is a festival, memorial day and demonstration day of lesbians , gays , bisexuals and transgender ( LGBT ) people in Zagreb ( Croatia ). The festival demonstrates for the rights of these groups as well as against discrimination and exclusion.

The Zagreb Pride was the first and is now the largest event for homosexual people in Southeast Europe . Partner parades are the Ljubljana Pride ( Ljubljana , Slovenia), the Split Pride in Split and the Osijek Pride in Osijek . The number of participants grew from initially a few hundred to several thousand. In 2013, the Gay Pride in Zagreb had a total of 15,000 active participants. The parade has been held annually since 2002. Organizational members include InterPride , EPOA , IGLYO , ILGA -Europe as well as the organizations KONTRA and Iskorak from Rijeka and Queer Zagreb .
