Dental District Association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Dental District Association (ZBV) is the official name for the eight "regional dental chambers" in Bavaria, all of which are corporations under public law (Kdö.R.). They are under the umbrella of the Bavarian Chamber of Dentists (BLZK), which is also a Kdö.R. is united. Each dental district association is subject to the legal supervision of the responsible district government and that of the BLZK. Every dentist in Bavaria is a compulsory member of a dental district association that maintains the dentist register, is responsible for compliance with the professional code, organizes the training of dental assistants and supports the dentists on site in all questions of professional practice.

This chamber structure with dental district associations only exists in Bavaria in Germany. In the other federal states there are either only state dental associations or as in Baden-Württemberg or Rhineland-Palatinate (also officially so-called) " district dental associations" under the umbrella of the state dental association of Baden-Württemberg or the state dental association of Rhineland-Palatinate.

District dental associations

organization

Each dental district association consists of a board of directors, which is elected every four years either directly by the dentists or by an assembly of delegates by postal vote. Whether a delegate election has to be carried out depends on the number of members. From 2000 members, this is prescribed by the Bavarian Chamber of Health Professions. For the current term of office (2014–2018) the dental district associations in Munich, Upper Bavaria and Middle Franconia carried out delegate elections.

The first chairmen of all dental district associations are automatically members of the board of the Bavarian State Dental Association (BLZK)

Every four years, elections for delegates to the Bavarian State Dental Association are held in each dental district association. Each ZBV is thus represented proportionally to its number of members in the delegates' assembly of the BLZK, the highest body of the Dental Association.

The District Dental Associations Munich, Lower Bavaria, Lower Franconia and (in coalition) in Upper Bavaria are unable politically under the leadership of the Professional Association Future Dentists Bayern (CCA). The regional dental associations of Upper Palatinate, Upper Franconia, Middle Franconia and Swabia are politically under the leadership of the Free Association of German Dentists (FVDZ).
