Zech , also Zech auf Neuhofen , is a noble family from Swabia ( barons and counts )

history

The lineage of the family begins with Paul Zäch , who is mentioned in a document from 1638 to 1646 as a citizen of Rain (Lech) .

The Imperial and Electoral Bavarian Court Councilor Joseph Albert Zech was on September 10, 1745 by Elector Maximilian III. Joseph of Bavaria was raised to the status of imperial baron, his brother, the city syndic Caspar Anton Zech , to the status of imperial knight with the designation “Edler von ...” on the same day . Josef Albert Zech was raised to the rank of imperial count on September 27, 1773 , while at the same time joining the coat of arms of the extinct Styrian Zech von Lobming .

The coat of arms, awarded in 1745, is quartered; in the 1st and 4th fields a Turk, growing inward, in red clothing with a silver belt, laces and lapels and a red and silver turban, holding an arrow pointing downwards with a shaft in his right and left respectively. In the 2nd and 3rd fields in red a silver diagonal right-hand bar, covered with a red bow. Two helmets with red and silver covers , on the right the Turk between open flight , divided by red and silver across the corner , on the left a growing lion, divided by silver over red, holding the bow between his paws between closed, red and silver shared flights. - The count's coat of arms in 1773 also had a red heart shield, inside a gold star (coat of arms of the Zech von Lobming), as well as a third helmet in the middle, on which a red eagle wing covered with the star.
