The Backwinkler Erbstolln colliery was a hard coal mine in the Wiemelhausen district of Bochum . Although the prospect for the upper adit was not made until 1774, hard coal had been mined in one of the tunnels since 1750 . The name of the colliery is probably traced back to an estate that was located near the Erbstollen.
history
In 1774 the Oberstollenmundloch was created west of the village of Wiemelhausen. In the same year the reduction was above the tunnel floor over a length of 400 meters stroking . Eight years later, in 1782, a deeper tunnel was created on the Drusenberg south of the waterway in order to achieve a greater construction height . In the same year, the Berlin gallery was proposed. In 1783 there were already three production shafts on the upper tunnel . In 1797 a deeper tunnel reached a length of 502 meters. A tonnage shaft was sunk . There was another motto under the name of Backwinkler Erbstolln, the mine has been called that since then. The upper gallery was abandoned around 1800 and dismantled between 1800 and 1805. The deep tunnel reached a length of 540 meters in 1805 and was in poor condition.
On June 19, 1806, a seam fire occurred . In the same year the operation was stopped. In 1823 were Berechtsamen Backwinkel and back Winkler Erbstolln for baking Winkler Erbstolln consolidated . A year later, on February 22nd, the Längenfeld Backwinkler Erbstolln was awarded . Around 1843 the authorized Friedrichstollen was dismantled . In 1846 the Erbstollen was broken , the planned work was probably not carried out, the operation of the Stollenzeche was stopped. On February 2, 1853, the Längenfeld was converted into a quarter field (1 km 2 ), but no mining took place in the field. The plan drawn up in 1867 to lay out a civil engineering structure was not implemented. Two years later, in 1869, it was consolidated into the Prinz Regent colliery .
