The Heinrich Wilhelm colliery was a hard coal mine in the Bredenscheid district of Hattingen . The mine has a history of more than 80 years, but during that time it was only in operation for about 20 years. Little is known about the mine.

Mining history

A length field was awarded on August 25, 1819 . In 1833 prospecting work was carried out and a tunnel set up. The Wille mine was in operation in 1835 , and 806 tons of hard coal were mined that year . In 1837, the maximum production of the mine was achieved with 5885½ tons of hard coal. In 1840 Schacht will was again in promoting it were funded in 2583 Prussian tonnes of coal. The last known production figures come from the year 1842, 3183 Prussian tons of hard coal were produced. From September of the following year, the colliery was put into deadlines . From August 14, 1862, the Heinrich Wilhelm colliery was declared free of mining . In 1901 the Heinrich Wilhelm colliery was acquired by the Westphalian coal works.
