Jürgen Ennker
Jürgen Ennker (born December 12, 1952 in Berlin ) is a German doctor, heart surgeon, scientist and author.
Life
Jürgen Ennker, grew up in Berlin, comes from a doctor's household. After studying medicine at the universities of Hanover , Cape Town and Freiburg , he passed his medical examination in 1979 and received his license to practice medicine at the Hanover Medical School. In the same year the doctorate "magna cum laude" followed and in 1982 the American state examination ( ECFMG ).
After completing his specialist training at the Department of Surgery at the Hannover Medical School with Hans Georg Borst , Rudolf Pichlmayr and Harald Tscherne , he returned to Berlin in 1986 and became senior physician at the German Heart Center in Berlin under the direction of Roland Hetzer .
Between 1986 and 1991 Jürgen Ennker acquired the qualifications of specialist in surgery (1986), specialist in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery (1988), specialist in cardiac surgery and specialist in vascular surgery (1991). In 1994 he completed his habilitation at the Rudolf Virchow University Hospital of the Free University of Berlin . In 1996, the special cardiac surgery intensive medicine was recognized by the Medical Association of South Baden. Jürgen Ennker has been a professor at the University of Witten / Herdecke since 2009 .
In 1994 Jürgen Ennker went to Lahr / Baden, where he founded the Heart Center Lahr as Medical Director and Chief Physician, which today belongs to MediClin AG.
From April 2015 to the end of March 2017, Jürgen Ennker was the head physician in the Clinic for Cardiovascular Surgery at the HELIOS Clinic Siegburg .
From April 2017 to the end of April 2019, Jürgen Ennker was acting clinic director of the University Clinic for Cardiac Surgery , Oldenburg Clinic.
Jürgen Ennker has been operating as a senior physician in the Clinic for Cardiac Surgery and Cardiac Vessels at the HELIOS Klinikum Krefeld (Lower Rhine Heart Center) since May 2019 .
Jürgen Ennker has specialized in practice and science in bypass operations without a heart-lung machine ( OPCAB ), in the implantation of scaffold-free freestyle valves in aortic position and in mitral valve reconstructions. He has published scientific publications about it.
As the author of patient guides and books that also deal with medical-related topics, such as hospital marketing or risk management in cardiac surgery, he has also dedicated himself to popular scientific publications.
Jürgen Ennker is the father of four children.
