The Lange colliery is a former hard coal mine in Hattingen in the Niederstüter district . The mine was a small mine , the owner of this small mine was the company Hans Wolf Lange & Co oHG . The mine was only in operation for a few years.

Mining history

In 1956 the mine was put into operation. The mine dismantled the old safety pillar of the Gustav shaft of the Vogelbruch colliery . The bay Gustav was a tonnlägiger shaft, which in the seam main seam drilled was. The shaft had a shallow depth of 60 meters and a cross-section of about 1.3 m 2 . Three miners were employed at the mine . The extraction of coal was carried out by Hammers . The miners received the compressed air they needed from the Alte Haase colliery . The pit water from the Lange colliery was also diverted to the Alte Haase colliery. In 1961 the Lange colliery was closed.

Current condition

The Lange Kleinzeche is now part of the Alte Haase Süd mining trail . A concrete edge of the Gustav shaft can still be seen in the area today.
